Hafar Al-Batin Municipality is a government entity dedicated to developing the governorate and upgrading the level of municipal and urban services, enhancing the quality of life, and supporting sustainable development; through planning and development, raising the efficiency of infrastructure and services, developing investment, employing technology and data, and enhancing community partnership and institutional integration.
The Municipality operates according to an institutional vision, mission, and values, and its efforts are based on a set of pillars and enablers that contribute to achieving its targets, and support building a higher quality and more sustainable future for Hafar Al-Batin Governorate.
The population of Hafar Al-Batin Governorate reached (467,007) people according to the Saudi Census 2022, the number of Saudis is (331,713) people, and the number of non-Saudis is (135,294) people.
Hafar Al-Batin Governorate is located in the northeastern part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and is administratively affiliated with the Eastern Province. It features a strategic location near the Kingdom's international borders, and is connected by a network of roads linking it to a number of regions, governorates, and neighboring countries, which has contributed to strengthening its position as a vital center for commercial and economic activity.
The area of the governorate is about 57 thousand km², and it has 23 affiliated centers, reflecting its geographical extent and administrative importance in the Eastern Province.

April 30, 2018: A decision was issued appointing him to oversee the operations of the Hafar Al-Batin Governorate Municipality.
In this prosperous era under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may God protect them -, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing a comprehensive developmental renaissance in all sectors. This renaissance is based on the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which places human beings and their quality of life at the core of its priorities.
