Hafr Al-Batin Municipality Organizes Workshop on Granting Municipal Inspectors the Authority to Detect Water Leakage and Sewage Overflow Violations
Hafr Al-Batin Municipality organized a specialized workshop for municipal inspectors on Monday, 5 January 2026, at the Municipality headquarters. The workshop aimed to grant inspectors the authority to detect and report water leakage and sewage overflow violations that fall under the jurisdiction of the Saudi Water Authority through the Mumtathil application.
The workshop was attended by employees of Hafr Al-Batin Municipality alongside representatives of the National Water Company, reflecting ongoing efforts to strengthen coordination between relevant entities, enhance the efficiency of field inspections, and accelerate the detection and resolution of violations to minimize their environmental and public health impacts.
The workshop was delivered by Mr. Moatasim Al-Hosawi from the Saudi Water Authority, who presented the regulatory and procedural framework for granting inspection powers, demonstrated the use of the Mumtathil application for documenting and reporting violations, and explained the responsibilities of municipal inspectors and their role in promoting compliance and improving service quality.
Hafr Al-Batin Municipality emphasized that the workshop forms part of its continuous efforts to strengthen environmental compliance, protect public infrastructure, and enhance public health and safety, in line with the objectives of improving municipal services and enhancing quality of life across Hafr Al-Batin Governorate.
