Hafr Al-Batin Municipality Responds to the Governorate’s First Rainfall of the 1447 Rainy Season

Hafr Al-Batin Municipality responded this morning to the governorate’s first rainfall of the 1447 rainy season by activating its approved field operational plan to manage changing weather conditions, in line with the objectives of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing to enhance preparedness and strengthen infrastructure efficiency.

The Municipality confirmed that its field teams were fully prepared and deployed across various neighbourhoods and critical locations to monitor the stormwater drainage network, operate pumping stations, and immediately address any water accumulation. Operations rooms were also activated and linked to the unified emergency centre (940) to ensure rapid response to incoming reports.

Field operations included monitoring culverts, drainage channels, and critical collection points, in addition to removing debris and movable waste resulting from the rainfall, helping to maintain smooth traffic flow and preserve the urban landscape.

The Municipality explained that its 2025 rainy season plan includes enhancing operational and inspection readiness, as well as utilizing modern technologies for early weather forecasting and report management, in alignment with the objectives of Quality of Life and Saudi Vision 2030.

Hafr Al-Batin Municipality also urged everyone to exercise caution and follow official safety instructions during rainy weather to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
