Hafr Al-Batin Municipality has launched the “Home Delivery Permit Service” for food and non-food commercial establishments providing delivery services, in coordination with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing through the Balady Platform. This initiative comes as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance quality of life and raise safety and compliance standards within the delivery sector across the Kingdom.
The service aims to regulate delivery operations within cities and ensure that establishments comply with approved health and technical requirements, contributing to the creation of a safe and efficient environment that strengthens consumer confidence.
The requirements include obtaining health certificates for workers involved in home delivery services, clearly displaying the establishment’s name or trademark on the transportation vehicle used, and ensuring that vehicles are equipped in accordance with technical and health requirements for transporting products.
The Municipality clarified that the mandatory implementation of the permit issuance will begin on 1 July 2025, with field inspection campaigns to be conducted to verify establishments’ compliance and apply regulatory measures against violations. This step is part of the Municipality’s efforts to develop the regulatory framework for the services sector, ensure the provision of reliable and safe delivery services, and align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
