Hafr Al-Batin Municipality continued its intensive efforts to enhance the urban landscape and improve quality of life through extensive campaigns to address visual distortion elements throughout May 2025.
According to the report issued by the Municipal Data and Statistics Department at Hafr Al-Batin Municipality, the campaigns resulted in the removal of more than 222,120 cubic metres of construction and demolition waste, representing a significant step towards improving public cleanliness and the urban environment. The efforts also included the repair and maintenance of 552,000 square metres of parks and green spaces, enhancing attractive areas for families and visitors.
In the field of infrastructure, field teams repaired 3,729 square metres of road potholes, maintained 406 square metres of deteriorated sidewalks, and rehabilitated 824 square metres of children’s playgrounds to provide a safe and suitable environment for recreational activities. Additionally, 1,340 lighting poles were repaired to ensure effective lighting coverage across streets and neighbourhoods.
Regarding public cleanliness, the Municipality improved the condition of 2,168 waste containers through redistribution and cleaning operations. The efforts also included the arrangement and planting of 379 trees across several vital locations, as well as the fencing of 40 square metres of vacant land to reduce encroachments and visual distortion.
In terms of violations, the campaigns resulted in the removal of 93 instances of graffiti from public facility walls, 49 non-compliant advertising signs, and 6 abandoned and damaged vehicles from streets. The Municipality also dismantled 23 illegal shelters and car structures, addressed the situation of 148 informal street vendor locations, and removed random rest areas and barriers at 16 sites, contributing to improved organization of neighbourhoods and roads.
Hafr Al-Batin Municipality called on the community to cooperate by reporting any visual distortion or municipal violations through official channels or the Balady application, emphasizing that community engagement is a key factor in improving the urban landscape and achieving development goals.
The Municipality confirmed that these efforts are part of its comprehensive strategic plan to enhance the urban environment in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, highlighting the continuation of field campaigns across the governorate with the active participation of specialized teams.
