Under the patronage of His Highness Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdullah bin Faisal, Governor of Hafr Al-Batin, the Gulf Healthy Cities Day celebrations were launched on Monday, 28 April 2025, under the theme “Healthy Cities for Sustainable Development” at the Ministry of Health branch in Hafr Al-Batin. The event was attended by His Excellency Eng. Khalaf Hamdan Al-Otaibi, Mayor of Hafr Al-Batin Municipality, Mr. Nasser Al-Safi, Director of the Health Affairs Branch in the Governorate, Dr. Turki Al-Muqbil, Chief Executive Officer of Hafr Al-Batin Health Cluster, along with a number of government sector representatives.
Hafr Al-Batin Municipality participated through a distinguished pavilion showcasing its efforts in promoting healthy city concepts through various initiatives, including public cleanliness programmes, the expansion of green spaces, and health monitoring programmes that contribute to enhancing quality of life, in alignment with sustainable development goals and Saudi Vision 2030.
The event witnessed notable engagement from attendees, who explored the Municipality’s key projects aimed at creating a healthy and safe urban environment, in addition to joint initiatives implemented in collaboration with partners to promote prevention and community health awareness.
This participation reflects the Municipality’s role in supporting government efforts to build sustainable healthy communities and demonstrates its commitment to achieving the aspirations of the Kingdom’s leadership in enhancing quality of life for all citizens and residents.
