As part of its ongoing efforts to promote public health and ensure the safety of food provided to consumers, Hafr Al-Batin Municipality continues to conduct intensive inspection campaigns targeting slaughterhouses, meat markets, and commercial centers in preparation for the Holy Month of Ramadan, a period that typically witnesses increased demand for food products and fresh meat.

The inspection campaigns focus on verifying the compliance of commercial establishments and slaughterhouses with approved health requirements and environmental standards. Inspection teams also ensure the safety and suitability of meat for human consumption, monitor slaughtering procedures to ensure compliance with Islamic requirements, verify the validity of licenses issued to both establishments and workers, and inspect the cleanliness of storage and display areas. In addition, the campaigns assess the compliance of food products with applicable health standards and identify any violations or practices that may pose a risk to consumer health.

The Municipality affirmed that these inspection campaigns form part of a comprehensive Ramadan market monitoring plan, which also includes intensified inspections of restaurants, bakeries, confectionery shops, mobile food vendors, and street vendors to ensure a safe and healthy shopping environment for residents throughout the holy month.

Hafr Al-Batin Municipality also called upon residents to cooperate with its inspection teams by reporting any violations or observations through the unified municipal hotline 940. The Municipality reaffirmed its continued commitment to enhancing food safety, strengthening health compliance across all commercial establishments, and safeguarding the health and well-being of consumers during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
