Content Policy
This policy establishes the conditions, principles, rules, and publishing authorities governing the effective management and publication of content on Hafr Al-Batin Municipality's official website. Its purpose is to ensure the delivery of valuable, accurate, and reliable information to beneficiaries. All content prepared for publication on the Municipality's website shall comply with the requirements set forth in this Policy.

Responsibilities and Authorities
The General Department of Media and Corporate Communication, as the administrator of the Municipality's official website, is responsible for publishing website content, reviewing submitted materials, and providing observations and recommendations as appropriate to ensure consistency with the Municipality's official communication and media identity and the achievement of its strategic objectives.
The relevant departments within the Municipality are responsible for creating and maintaining electronic content related to their respective areas of responsibility. Each department shall designate a liaison officer to ensure the quality, accuracy, and official approval of the information submitted for publication. Departments shall also promptly provide the Content Management Team with any updates affecting published content on the Municipality's official website and respond in a timely manner to requests received from the General Department of Media and Corporate Communication.
General Principles
All published content shall adhere to the following principles:
- Ensure that published content is professionally written, well-structured, and clearly presented.
- Ensure that all content complies with applicable laws, regulations, and website policies.
- Respect the privacy of individuals and refrain from publishing content that infringes upon the rights or privacy of others.
- Verify the accuracy of all information and ensure that content is free from grammatical, spelling, and factual errors.
- Present content in a consistent, organized, and visually appropriate format.
- Ensure that content does not conflict with Islamic values, applicable government regulations, approved public policies, or directives issued by the competent authorities responsible for information technology.
Content Text Standards
The following standards shall be observed when preparing textual content:
- Each page shall begin with a clear and descriptive title that accurately reflects the subject matter.
- Appropriate use shall be made of main headings and subheadings, with clear visual distinction between them.
- The number of font styles used should be limited to one or two to maintain consistency and readability.
- All information shall be verified to ensure its accuracy and freedom from grammatical and spelling errors.
- Content should be concise and focused on conveying the intended message clearly.
- Wherever practicable, each webpage should address a single subject.
- A summary and the key points should be presented at the beginning of the page to enable users to quickly identify the information they require.
- Important information should be highlighted through headings, bullet points, and structured formatting to enhance readability and facilitate access to relevant content.
Image Standards
Images published on the Municipality's website shall comply with the following standards:
- Images shall be of high quality and professionally presented to support user engagement.
- Image dimensions and file sizes shall be appropriate for their intended use.
- Images shall be relevant to and accurately represent the accompanying content.
- Alternative text or descriptive captions shall be provided for images containing charts, diagrams, or other visual illustrations, where appropriate.
- Images that violate Islamic principles, applicable laws and regulations, or public decency shall not be published.
Link Standards
All hyperlinks included within website content shall meet the following requirements:
- All links shall be functional, accurate, and regularly verified.
- Links shall only direct users to official government websites or other trusted and authorized sources.
- Empty, inactive, or broken links shall not be included, and all hyperlinks shall direct users to valid content.
Content and Searchability Standards
To improve content discoverability and accessibility:
- Commonly used and relevant keywords shall be incorporated into content to improve search engine visibility.
- Content titles shall be clear, descriptive, and sufficiently detailed to facilitate indexing and retrieval through search engines.
Publishing Standards
The following standards shall apply to all published content:
